Summer Holiday fun at Brewery Arts

Published on 18th July 2025

Looking for things to do this summer? Head to Brewery Arts for an exciting range of family films, free live music, inspiring local art, and fresh, seasonal food and drink.

Summer Sundays

Summer Sundays are back! Our much-loved free live music festival returns to the garden, bringing feel-good energy to your weekend. We kick things off with the explosive sounds of Dilutey Juice, followed by Cumbrian party band The Seals. Then it’s Meetwood Flac, reimagining Fleetwood Mac classics with flair. We close Summer Sundays in style with Vacant Weekend and their funk-inspired, groove-heavy indie rock.

Pair the music with festival food and delicious drinks, like our exclusive Summer Sunday Pale Ale in collaboration with Lakes Brew Co. Just so you know, Brewery Arts is a licensed venue, and all food and beverages consumed on-site must be sourced from Brewery Arts.

Cinema

In the Cinema, we’ve got big-screen fun for all ages. Catch Elio, a charming and quirky animated adventure about a young space fanatic who accidentally becomes Earth’s ambassador to the galaxy. Other family favourites include Smurfs, Superman, How To Train Your Dragon, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Our Cinema Rewind series brings back beloved fan favourites, including The Goonies, Pretty Woman, Barry Lyndon, and Amadeus – perfect for a nostalgic night out.

Exhibitions

In the Sugar Store Gallery, discover the creativity of local young people in our first-ever Young Artist Open Exhibition. Featuring artwork by young artists aged 4-18, the exhibition showcases a vibrant mix of styles and media, all inspired by the theme ‘Your Kendal’. Running from 25 July to 13 September, it’s a brilliant celebration of emerging talent in our community.

Food & Drink

Feeling hungry? Our Bar & Restaurant is open daily with a menu full of summer flavours. Stop by for lunch and enjoy artisanal sandwiches, small plates, and local light bites. In the evening, tuck into our main menu alongside rotating seasonal specials. For younger diners, we offer kid-sized versions of favourites like pizza, burgers, and pasta.
