3 Oct – 2 Nov

3 Oct – 2 Nov | Foyer Gallery | Tue-Sat, 11am-5pm | Free

Led by renowned local artist Lela Harris, children from our Artseen groups will create an exhibition based on research that Lela has done, and interpreted in her own artwork, about the powerful story of Afamefuna. A young African boy, who was enslaved and brought to Heysham in the 18th Century but who later ran away in 1765, aged 16.
