To celebrate this year’s Kendal Pride and stand in solidarity with the local LGBTQIA+ community. Kendal Mountain Festival is proudly supporting an evening of Queer-led films.
These inspirational adventure films will take you around the world. They will showcase tales of endurance and bravery, transcending fear and redefining inclusivity. Get ready for a fantastic evening.

Lea Davison, a two-time Olympian and one of the most decorated American women in mountain biking knows the toil, pain, and commitment it takes to compete at the highest level. Along the way, she found unconditional love for the ride. This unlocked the freedom to embrace risk and fuelled her passion to break down barriers for the next generation of female riders.
Sh*t Swimmer

Set in the future (2028) where swimming is illegal because of sewage dumping, one self-proclaimed sports daredevil seeks to break a record swim time in sh*t water without getting sick or arrested.
Unspoken Road
Chad Unger | US / 7’
Unspoken Road is a portrait of Deaf and Queer brother and sister, Nora and Uriel Torres. The siblings, originally from Mexico, discuss how growing up in a small town in California they experienced discrimination and isolation. As they came of age they discovered the therapeutic and life-affirming value of cycling.

Jamie Logan – a pioneering alpinist – has survived some of the most dangerous climbs in the world. But nothing felt as life-threatening as admitting that, at age 69, she wanted to begin a new life living as a woman. This is a film that shows that love and trust can be the ultimate act of rebellion.
