Morganway

Striking melodies, energetic rhythms, catchy songs, and a fiercely formidable live act – Morganway have made quite the impression on the UK’s rising Americana scene. The band is known for layering rich, six-part vocal harmonies over driving guitar, fiddle and keyboard riffs. With traces of 70s West Coast and classic rock to rootsy folk and country, Morganway is “like no other band out there right now…. reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac” (Entertainment Focus).

The band released their self-titled debut album in August 2019 to widespread acclaim (including praise from Whispering Bob Harris). Their single ‘Let Me Go’ won Classic Rock’s Track of The Week, followed by a string of successful summer festivals (Glastonbury, Black Deer, C2C and Millport Country to name a few), and sell-out national tours. They were described by Get Ready To Rock as recalling “… Fleetwood Mac in their prime… like a female-fronted Led Zeppelin.”

2021-2022 saw Morganway fully embrace the return of the live music scene, with multiple tours across the UK and winning ‘Best Group’ at the British Country Music Awards two years running.

Behind the scenes a second album was in the works. Recorded during the rigours of lockdown, and completed in-between a hectic touring schedule, ‘Back To Zero’ was released May 5th 2023. The album has become a testament to Morganway’s resolve and dedication to remain prolific during the industry’s biggest restrictive periods for artists worldwide. The album spent two weeks in the top 20 of the Official UK Americana Charts and received rave reviews. Louder than war gave it 4/5 and described the album as ‘a great country record’ Powerplay Magazine said “‘Back To Zero’ could well be the most uplifting thing you hear this year.”

The ‘Back To Zero’ tour sold out shows across the UK and was the bands most extensive run to date. Now with a packed festival season don’t miss what Maverick Magazine describes as “One of the best and most exciting prospects to emerge in a long time.”
