Ladies That Dig is about the great outdoors and the people who enjoy it. Budding love, blossoming middle-age, exploring our roots, and unearthing buried treasures, lead us to discover what it means to ‘grow’…
Collected from real local interviews with Allotmenteers, Metal Detectorists, Archaeologists, Grave-diggers, Forensic Anthropologists and people who just love gardening, Ladies That Dig is a fertile blend of live music, comedy, and true tales from women who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty.
This show contains themes of bereavement and child loss, treated sensitively with hope and humour.
Writing Workshop | Thu 9 Feb | Starts 4pm | Free Event | Room 14
Whilst in Kendal, Ladies That Dig playwright Joyce Branagh will deliver a 90-minute Writing Workshop, focussing on the process of research and writing behind the play.
Suitable for all abilities, the session will involve practical writing exercises and an opportunity to chat, scribble, and be inspired for your own writing.
There is no need to book onto this session, please make your way to Room 14 at 4pm on Thursday 9 March if you are interested in taking part.
