The Mouse Outfit are a live nine piece eclectic hip hop act from Manchester who produce a slick combination of quality samples and fiendish beats. Influenced by a smorgasbord of soul, jazz, funk, reggae and classic hip hop breaks, and laced with lyrics from some of Britain’s most promising emcees, this is conscious British hip hop at its very best.

2013 saw the self-release of their debut album ‘escape music’ and a series of high quality music videos which not only showcases their promise as some of the UK’s leading hip hop producers, but also their skills as highly talented filmmakers. The album won wordplay magazine’s hip hop album of the year and was included in abc news’ top 50 albums of 2013.

Their live show features various guest emcee’s but is glued together by Dr Syntax, an emcee famed in his own right as a solo artist as well as a peripheral member of the mighty Foreign Beggars. It is an epic journey that continually builds in tempo and momentum fusing classic jump up themes and hip hop medleys with thumping funk basslines and classic breaks.
