Tutor Caren Threlfall | Fee £69 | 5 weeks

Explore different textile techniques that can be used individually or combined to create individual pieces of textile art including felt making, simple printing techniques, silk papermaking, and hand and machine embroidery. This course is fun and creative!

What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?

You will be taught a different technique each week and then have the opportunity to experiment. Finally, you will be able to use the techniques in order to create finished pieces of textile art which you will be shown how to present. The course is taught by tutor demonstration and then by having a go yourself with the tutor on hand for help and advice.

By the end of the course you will have a portfolio of samples for your own reference of the different techniques covered. Suitable for all levels including beginners.

What do I need to bring with me? Are there any additional costs?

Please bring a pen, notebook and your glasses, if you need them.
The tutor will provide materials each week included in the course fee, but you may want to bring along some of your own as the course develops, for your own use.
Books will be suggested but are not essential.
