Brewery Youth Music

Opening doors for young people to the arts

Brewery Youth Music is part of the education and learning department at the Brewery Arts Centre. We deliver a huge variety of classes, outreach activity and partnership projects.

Our ambitious Early Years Music Transition programme has been funded through Youth Music. This programme will see us work in partnership throughout 2017/18 with Cumbria Music Hub, Barnardo’s and local nurseries and primary schools including St Marks Primary School in Natland, Natland and Oxenholme Pre-School Group, Castle Park School and Stramongate Nursery. The project will support the personal, social and musical skills development of 3-5 year olds during the transition from nursery to reception class.

La'al Sing

The annual event celebrates singing with a mass sing sing in the afternoon, followed by a platform performance by each school in the evening. Teachers are also welcome to attend three Singing Squad Sessions for Creative Professional Developement held at the Brewery in the Spring Term.

We are looking forward to to seeing around 300 primary school children perform in the Brewery Theatre.
