The Malt Room – Provision for disabled users at standing gigs
There are dedicated areas reserved for wheelchair users at the front of the room and to the left of the stage. We can accommodate three wheelchairs per standing gig.
These spaces are supervised by a trained SIA member of door staff or Brewery volunteer, however we would encourage you to bring a friend or colleague (one free place per wheelchair customer) to help you gain the most from your visit. Please note that during a busy gig there will be other members of the audience in close proximity.
Please let Box Office staff know you wish to attend the gig in a wheelchair when booking your ticket so they can make arrangements and inform you of arrival times etc.
Customers with other mobility or sight issues
For these customers who may wish to take periodic rests during the gig, the Brewery has six seats available. These are situated at either side of the venue and half way between the stage and the back of the Malt Room. This means during standing gigs the sight lines are not idea when seated but they do provide a place to rest with a measure of seclusion from the rest of the audience.
Please let Box Office staff know when booking that you wish to use a seat during the performance so we can ensure one is available and so we can inform you of arrival times etc.
- Visits to the performance venue prior to an event can be arranged with prior notice.
- Assistance will be given if requested when queuing. Assistance may be; portable chairs, priority access or the option of moving to a seated area until access is available.
We will seek to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ in order to accommodate any visitor to the centre. Before instigating any adjustments we would consider: the amount of disruption caused by making the adjustment; the amount of time available; the financial implications and the health and safety of others.
