This Week’s New Releases

In Leigh Whannell’s (Saw) adaptation of the classic sci-fi horror novel The Invisible Man, Cecila runs from her abusive partner and goes into hiding. When he takes his own life, strange occurrences take place and Celia suspects a hoax death. She is sure a person no one can see is stalking her, but will anyone believe Celia’s theory?

In the latest Dr Dolittle fantasy, Dolittle (Robert Downy Jr.) lives a solitary life in his manor house in 19th-century England. The exotic animals he speaks to are his only companions, but when the young Queen Victoria falls ill, he and his furry friends must go on the ultimate adventure to find a cure.

The moving documentary, I Go Gaga, My Dear patiently captures the filmmaker’s 95-year-old father caring for her mother who has dementia. This is the Brewery’s latest screening of a Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme feature.
