THE NORTHERN HOWGILLS: WATH TO RAVENSTONEDALE

Aimed at/grading: Strenuous, suitable for fit experienced fellwalkers.

Duration/length: Length about 10miles, total ascent 2600ft 6hrs plus travelling time.
 

This walk is set in the rolling hills of the Northern Howgills, and offers fine views of the surrounding countryside. From Wath the walk goes over the summits of Hooksey, Randygill Top, Green Bell, Knoutberry, Knott and Harter Fell to finish in Ravenstonedale Village.

Meeting place In front of County Offices

Meeting time 9.20 for 9.30 start.

Leader South Lakes Walking Club

Need Walking boots, waterproof jacket, over trousers, a spare warm layer, hat, gloves, first aid kit, food and drink (ensure that you have adequate to drink if the weather is hot)

Dogs? No

Transport Minibus will be provided at meeting place
