Young Music Producers | Tue 28 Feb to Tue 28 Mar | 4.30-6pm | £25 (5 wks) | 11-14 yrs | Tutor Tiiva | Warehouse
Working with a professional music producer, participants will learn how to write and record their own songs and music using Ableton and beat-making. Young Music Producers is a fun and creative way to write together, using a digital lab to make our own piece of music and explore the creativity of producing music along the way.
What will the sessions cover and how will it be taught?
Learn how to write and record your own songs, produce, and make beats using digital software in a creative space. The class will play around with fx like reverb, beat making and building synth sounds, to make a track as a music group.
Participants will learn how to write and produce with their voices and instruments in an open safe space, sharing ideas, and expressing themselves through music making. The class covers writing, improvising, and producing using Ableton and GarageBand. The aim of the class is to make music together and learn techniques that can give you the skills to write melodies, produce music, or start your own band.
Who is it for?
Whether you’ve never made music before, or want to be the next pop artist, DJ or producer, this group is for you to express your creativity and make some friends and collaborations along the way.
What do I need to bring?
A notebook or digital pad/phone to record any lyrics and ideas. A USB stick/hard drive for samples.
Are there any additional costs?
No
