Always wanted to write a novel? Got some ideas but not sure where to start? This intensive short course will give you valuable tools and techniques to shape your masterpiece!
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
Tutor led demonstrations, discussion, example work and handouts will guide you through the process.
By the end of the course/workshop you will have the structure, techniques and hopefully, momentum, to kick-start or continue writing your novel.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a pen, notebook and your glasses, if you need them.

About the tutor
John has been writing for over ten years. In 2013 he published his first novel “The Cold Glass Star” which was a Press & Journal Book of the Week. Since then, he has been writing mainly poems and monologues, which he performs at local open mic evenings and at the Edinburgh Fringe. He has also written a couple of short plays, the most recent – “Many Mansions ” – reached the top five of the North Cumbria Playwrights competition in May 2018.
