TWISTED WHEEL with support 12 Dirty Bullets

25th January 2014

Twisted Wheel have crammed more into their six year history than most bands manage in a lifetime. Formed by mainstay Jonny Brown in 2007 their line ups and even number of members may have changed but their reputation for sweat soaked blistering gigs has never gone away.

They hit the ground running with supporting Oasis and Paul Weller – comparisons to The Clash and The Jam were never too far away, Columbia signed them in 2008 with the band headlining the 2,000 capacity Academy in Manchester while picking up an award from the PRS in 2009 as the band who'd played most gigs that year.

Singles like She's A Weapon, You Stole The Sun and Lucy The Castle got them extensive plays on XFM and Radio 1 and support slots with Kasabian, The View and The Enemy. Well received gigs at Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury further enhanced their live reputation. They released their debut eponymous album in 2009 and the follow up Do It Again in 2012.

2013 saw a complete change of personnel within the band. Jonny on vocals and guitar, Max, the brother of original member, Rick, taking on bass duties. Keith Moon-alike Blair taking over on the drum stool and Adam supplying on additional guitar.
