North West Archive Film Night with post-film Discussion and Q&A
Charting the history of television in the North, from first broadcasts to award-winning documentaries and regional news output. This specially curated screening will bring the small screen to the big screen, remembering familiar TV personalities such as BBC Reporter Frank Mellor and revealing local content from more in-depth current affairs series and news magazine programmes. Tailored to a Cumbrian audience, TV Time Machine: TV Comes North features archive news and documentary footage from Lake District and the surrounding area, with introductions by Geoff Senior from the North West Film Archive.
