Tillie Walden is an Eisner-nominated cartoonist and illustrator from Austin, Texas and a rapidly rising star. She is currently a student at the Centre for Cartoon Studies and has published several books with Avery Hill Publishing including the critically-acclaimed The End of Summer. Her new book which will be launched at the Festival is a tale set in the future and in the depths of space and follows Mia through three different periods of her life. Walden’s distinctive style and mesmerising narratives could make her one of your festival finds in 2016.
