The latest film from Studio Ghibli looks at the life of Jiro Horikoshi, the man who designed Japanese fighter planes during World War II. Written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, and adapted from his own manga of the same name, The Wind Rises was the highest-grossing Japanese film in Japan in 2013. This special screening will be introduced by manga and Studio Ghibli fan and expert Ilya whose work includes Manga Shakespeare’s King Lear, The Mammoth Book of Cult Comics and his recent original graphic novel Room for Love.
