A humorous, uplifting film following the adventures of 3 children and their donkeys in a chase across the North Yorks Moors. With the beauty of a classic family adventure film and harnessing a modern aesthetic, be prepared for an emotional journey into what it means to be siblings. A tale that includes donkeys, trains, joy, heartache and some of the best landscapes northern England has to offer.
After their father’s brother returns after a five year prison sentence, three children sense the family history their father has kept hidden. Tense circumstances lead to the eldest, Angie, to take her siblings and two of their donkeys on a journey across the Yorkshire Moors. The film explores many themes, set against the beautiful Northern backdrop. With outstanding performances, especially the young lead, honest dialog and nicely balanced tension and pace.
