Sunday 16th Oct 2.30-3.30pm Comics Clock Tower Council Chamber
Celebrating the utopian urge in 19th century literature and politics and the origins of science fiction, The Red Virgin and the Vision of Utopia is the third collaboration of best-selling academic, graphic novel writer and LICAF patron, Mary M Talbot with her husband, the graphic novel pioneer Bryan Talbot, also a patron of the festival. Their first book together, Dotter of her Father’s Eyes, won the 2012 Costa Biography Award. Enjoy this special audience with them as they present and discuss their most recent collaboration and how they have created their “winning formula”.
