3.30-4.30 Venue: Comics Clock Tower
The festival is proud to host the launch of Rob Davis’ first full-length graphic novel, The Motherless Oven, an edgy and surreal tale of teenagers adrift in a parallel universe. Rob is best-known for reinventing Roy of the Rovers and drawing Judge Dredd and has written and illustrated for Doctor Who. He is a master of adaptation which has included Don Quixote and is editor of the award-winning comic anthology Nelson. Rob knows how to capture and appeal to that often-elusive teen spirit. Let Dr Mel Gibson introduce you to this bizarre, distorted teenage landscape and to the wider work of Rob Davis.
