You can hold a conversation in Spanish but there are skills that need improving and vocabulary that needs increasing. Would you like to expand your knowledge to converse more freely in a wider range of topics to suit your interests and requirements?
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
More grammatical structures will be covered in a light-hearted and enjoyable approach to Spanish with students encouraged to develop all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) We will also cover some history, social events, the economic issues and politics of Spain today.
We will split the teaching time into listening exercises, conversation & games activities to develop your oral skills, reading tasks and some grammar explanations. We will work with grammar, reading & writing exercises at home.
Your tutor will discuss the course content with the class and may make some adjustments to the syllabus based on the needs of the group. She will also try to accommodate individual requirements where possible.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a pen, notebook and your glasses, if you need them.

About the tutor
Pilar Valera graduated in Politics and has taught for more than 20 years from beginners to advance level. Exam and non-exam courses and a range of ages and abilities.
She is from Madrid and although she lives in Kendal she runs study-breaks in Spain for adults and summer courses for children.
Please note there is no class during the following weeks
