This course is for those who can maintain simple conversations in Spanish but want to increase vocabulary, consolidate the grammar and develop listening, speaking, reading & writing skills.
We will work on new vocabulary around a wider range of topics to suit your interests and requirements. We will also cover some history, social events, economy issues and politics of Spain today.
This course is suitable for those who have completed a 3rd year of Spanish or for those who are able to get by in Spanish. You need to be familiar with the past tense, future & conditional tenses. We will cover the command and introduce the subjunctive.

What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
More grammatical structures will be covered in a light-hearted and enjoyable approach to Spanish with students encouraged to develop all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) by playing games, watching videos and reading authentic materials. We will also work with grammar, reading & writing exercises at home.
Your tutor will discuss the course content with the class and may make some adjustments to the syllabus based on the needs of the group. She will also try to accommodate individual requirements where possible.

About the tutor
Pilar Valera graduated in Politics and has taught for more than 20 years from beginners to advance level. Exam and non-exam courses and a range of ages and abilities. She is from Madrid and although she lives in Kendal she runs study-breaks in Spain for adults and summer courses for children.
