Expand your knowledge to converse more freely in a wider range of topics to suit your interests. More grammatical structures will be covered in a light-hearted and enjoyable approach to Spanish with students encouraged to develop all four language skills. (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
This course is suitable for those who have completed a beginner’s class or learnt some basic Spanish in the past.
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught? (max 150 words)
At the end of the year you will be confident in talking about yourself and family, use descriptions, talk about the weather and make plans with Spanish speaking friends, use the past and the future tenses.
Games and activities allow for a fun and informal environment and you will have the opportunity to learn grammar, a useful tool that will give you the know -how to use the language.
There will homework set every week.
By the end of the course/workshop you will be able to:
- Describe your daily routine,
- describe your house
- describe people
- describe minor ailments and understand the prescription
- describe the weather
- make arrangements to go out
- make a phone call
- talk about your future plans
- talk about the past

Autumn term: 21 to 25 October & 11 to 17 November 2019
Spring term: 17 to 21 February 2020

About the tutor
Pilar Valera graduated in Politics and has taught for more than 20 years from beginners to advance level. Exam and non-exam courses and a range of ages and abilities. She is from Madrid and although she lives in Kendal she runs study-breaks in Spain for adults and summer course.
All our ticket prices include a 50p commission; whether booking online, on the phone or at the counter. This fee helps us continue to fund our diverse programme. Creative learning classes & workshops are exempt.
