This course aims to give you a better understanding of the culture of Spain as well as improving your grammar, conversation, reading and writing.
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
We use Spanish in conversation, reading & listening while looking at historical, cultural, political and up to day issues of contemporary Spain. You will also have to write some texts.
Grammatical structures will be covered in a light-hearted and enjoyable approach to Spanish with students encouraged to develop all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) We will also cover some history, social events, the economy issues and politics of Spain today.

Please note there are no classes on the following dates:
27 October and 17 November 2020

About the tutor
Pilar Valera graduated in Politics and has taught for more than 20 years from beginners to advance level. Exam and non-exam courses and a range of ages and abilities. She is from Madrid and although she lives in Kendal she runs study-breaks in Spain for adults and summer courses for children.
Please note that this is a continuing course, with BLOCK 2 following BLOCK 1. Places on BLOCK 2 will be prioritised for those enrolling in BLOCK 1.
