Smoove & Turrell are at the head of the pack of the new UK funk and soul scene. Fronted by the fabulously gutsy and gravelly voice of Turrell, they mix up contemporary electronic soul rhythms with old school stylings to wonderful effect.
With an obvious love and northern soul and deep, dancefloor-bumping funk, it's retro-future party music of the highest order.
