Bryan and Mary Talbot made history in 2013 when they won the Biography Prize at the Costa Awards being the first time a graphic novel had prevailed.
Sally Heathcote: Suffragette charts the fortunes of a maid-of-all-work as she is swept up in the feminist activism of the Edwardian era and is written by Mary Talbot, illustrated by Kate Charlesworth with Bryan Talbot doing the lettering and detailed layouts. The completed story will run to 165 pages, with over 25 pages of additional material (notes, timeline, sources). An exclusive insight into their collaboration ahead of hethe book’s much-anticipated publication in 2014.
