Late Night Love by Eggs Collective
Commissioned by HOME and They Eat Culture. Developed with support from Fuel and public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

Created in collaboration with Olivier Award-winning director Mark Whitelaw.

Somewhere in the static between radio stations, Eggs Collective present Late Night Love, a tender and ridiculous show that clambers up your drainpipe with a rose between its teeth.

Inspired by the confessional radio show of the same name, Late Night Love is an unflinching attempt to unpick the truth from the fiction of chocolate boxes and untangle expectations of adulthood from the promise of power ballads.

Raw-edged and warm-hearted, tune in to Late Night Love, where teenage crushes wrangle with the reality of romance, saxophones cry and secrets crackle from radios in the dark.

Late Night Love is the company’s second show, following 2015’s messy and much loved hit Eggs Collective Get A Round.

Eggs Collective are a trio who make sharp, comic, politically motivated work that falls somewhere in the cracks between theatre and cabaret.

‘Dirty girls abusing hairspray’ Caitlin Moran | ‘Sly satire under a veil of sweetness’ The New York Times | ‘Youthful high spirits mixed with lethal honesty’ The Guardian | ‘Razor tongues and impeccable comic timing’ Bryony Kimmings | ‘Honest, unflinching and very funny theatre’ Exeunt | ‘Superb, vivacious, very special performers’ Dickie Beau | ‘Brilliantly powered by sweat, hair and a deep love for all humanity’ Chris Thorpe | ‘Robert Palmer girls pickled in WKD’ Total Theatre

“Salty work at the boundaries of theatre and cabaret… sly satire under a veil of sweetness” The New York Times

“Eggs Collective is one of the most dynamic and distinctive contemporary performance outfits around… Audiences quite rightly LOVE them, and they in turn love their audiences.” – Dickie Beau

“The right combination of guts and humility needed to create honest, unflinching and very funny theatre” – Exeunt Magazine

12+ with infrequent use of adult language and adult themes/ humour.
