Other strings to his bow include writing for The David Letterman Show, which he won two Emmy’s for and was the inspiration behind Matt Groening’s character Moe Szyslak from The Simpsons. Rich is also an accomplished author, he has released three books, Magnificent Bastards, I Blame Society and Things Snowballs, all released by Abacus Books. Hall has also released two very successful stand-up DVD’s in 2001 and 2009 through Universal Pictures UK.
