Autumn 17 Sep – 3 Dec | Spring 14 Jan – 24 Mar | 10.30 am to 1.00 pm | Tutor Penny Hunt | £165 (10 weeks)
Explore a variety of techniques, including lino printing, monotype, drypoint etching and collagraph with Brewery tutor artist and printmaker Penny Hunt.
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
The techniques will be taught as separate methods of working and can also be combined to create more experimental prints, further developing the processes and giving the opportunity to explore different ideas. You will be shown how to use each separate technique through demonstrations and introductions to different artists work so that you can see the possibilities. You will gradually build up a portfolio of techniques and ideas that can be explored. Combinations of techniques are possible and you will be encouraged and guided through, making sure that you are able to develop your own interests in the subject matter or style you choose to work in.
By the end of the course/workshop you will:
Be confident in your use of materials and techniques, have a portfolio of prints using at least 4 different techniques, including small editions.. and hopefully be inspired to continue printmaking!
