Pilates is a popular style of exercise that provides a wealth of physical, mental and spiritual benefits. It is designed to lengthen, strengthen and balance the body.
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
The traditional principles of Mat Pilates are Breathing, Concentration, Control, Centring, Precision, Flow.
Beth will focus each week on correct alignment, breathing and core engagement before moving participants through a series of gentle exercises. Options for each exercise will be offered so that individuals can choose the right level for them.
Beth will not be performing any hands-on corrections in light of government regulations but will be able to advise individuals on adaptions & correct alignment.
The classes will focus on small, gentle movements designed to increase strength, balance and body awareness. Health issues should be communicated to the instructor at the beginning of the term.
What do I need to bring with me?
Clothing should be comfortable. Leggings/shorts/ tracksuit bottoms are all appropriate.
Please bring your own mat. We will do the classes barefoot or in socked feet.
Are there any additional costs?
