Penelope Isles are a 4 piece indie band from Brighton, UK, combining brother-sister vocal harmonies, Real Estate-esque melodic hooks going into full-on fuzz rock.

Their debut album, Until The Tide Creeps In, received a great response when released in July 2019 on Bella Union.

Their live show is phenomenal, with their sets at End of the Road, IFF and Eurosonic blowing people away and leading to the band being booked for Roskilde, Pukkelpop, Pohoda, Iceland Airwaves and Primavera Weekender and many more festivals in Summer 2019.

The band’s 2nd album, Until the Tide Creeps In, due for release in Nov 2021, has already seen singles such as Iced Gems go straight in on the A-List at BBC 6 Music.

“They share DNA, seem to have similar musical instincts, and when their voices come together — their preferred singing method — a shiver runs down your spine. Their songs have an innate grandeur to them, soaring and swelling and sometimes zigging and zagging, but Jack and Lily seem like co-pilots working in tandem. Every direction, no matter how unexpected, makes sense.” – Brooklyn Vegan

“This sibling duo’s forthcoming album Which Way to Happy builds further upon their explorations of sound, unbound to the constraints of style. The result is a cohesive grab bag of influences ranging from The Smiths to Tame Impala, with the charming shakiness of a new band—comprised of siblings, nonetheless—without the pressures of doing anything other than making what feels right. “ – Paste Magazine

“There’s much to admire here: beauty, fragility, a dash of blissed-out space rock, dream pop, even a hint of French disco amidst the soaring widescreen soundscapes…Penelope Isles have fashioned their own unique realm” – Under The Radar
