ONCE IN A BLUE MOON – FAMILY THEATRE

Theatre |
27th September 2014

11.30am & 2pm

It’s the moon’s birthday! He is having a party and we are all invited… But how do we get there?

Join us as we journey to the moon through strange, distant lands and meet some curious characters along the way. Incorporating dance, live music and audience interactivity, this dance theatre piece offers 3-6 year olds and their parents a truly magical experience.

Come early to make a birthday card for the moon with the cast of the show.

About Wriggle Dance Theatre:

Wriggle Dance Theatre was founded in 2010 by Co-Directors Kath Kimber-McTiffen and Lucy Knight who both have more than fifteen years experience as practitioners, performers, managers and dance artists.

Wriggle’s vision is to engage children as dance audiences and creative participants.

Wriggle’s mission is to spark children’s imagination, ignite children’s creative learning and critical development and instil an affection for dance from an early age by creating high quality, interactive dance performances, and opportunities for imaginative participation for children and their families.

In 2011, Wriggle were awarded funding from Arts Council England to research, develop and produce an interactive dance performance, aimed at children aged 3 –6 and their families. Strongly supported by The Core at Corby Cube, Dance4, Royal & Derngate, Extended Services, Daventry, and Northamptonshire Community Foundation, the work was researched, developed and tested in Northamptonshire.
