Stretch your legs, enjoy a chat and explore the countryside around Kendal on a bracing Nordic Walk.  An enhancement of ordinary walking, it makes something we can all do, whatever your age or fitness level, twice as effective.

What is Nordic Walking?
Nordic walking is a total body version of walking that can be enjoyed both by non-athletes as a health-promoting physical activity, and by athletes as a sport. The activity is performed with specially designed walking poles similar to ski poles.

What are the benefits?
Compared to regular walking, Nordic walking involves applying force to the poles with each stride. Nordic walkers use more of their entire body (with greater intensity) and receive fitness building stimulation not present in normal walking.

Who is Nordic Walking for?
Nordic walking is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Ranging from gentle walks for people with health concerns, to workout walks, which are a great way to improve fitness, lose weight and tone the whole body.
