MOEBIUS AND MORE:40 YRS OF THE HUMANOIDS

Festivals |
18th October 2014

1.45-2.45 Venue: Comics Clock Tower

Inspired by the revolutionary fervour in Paris post-1968, three French creators, Moebius (Jean Giraud), Philippe Druillet, and Jean-Pierre Dionnet formed Les Humanoïdes Associés in December 1974. The following year they launched Métal Hurlant which was to change the face of comics publishing forever and inspire British creators like Pat Mills to set up 2000 AD. 40 years later, Humanoids is an international company with offices in Paris, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo.

Join Humanoids’ UK Liaison, Tim PIlcher, on an exploration of the “Jodorverse” as he presents a celebration of one of the most innovative and important graphic novel publishers in the world, with rare images and insights from the past, present, and future.
