Rubaiyat

Rubaiyat play traditional ballads and dance music with a flavour of the middle-east and a twist of folk. Melodies from the accordian, bazouki, saz, flute and symphonie flirtatiously play with the sound of the Darbuka, leading rhythms irresistible to dance to!

Orchestre Ruffanti

With influences such as Sergio Mendes, Pink Martini , Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Nouvelle Vague, fabulous 12 –piece World Music Cabaret Ensemble Orchestre Ruffanti are an ever-so-slightly kitsch treasure trove of retro glamour and charity shop audio exotica . Featuring no less than three lead vocalists, Ruffanti serve up a uniquely mouth –watering musical buffet of Latin, Funk and Bossa Nova rhythms, hot horns and stunning vocal harmonies. Half –remembered pop standards are put through the Ruffanti Latino Filter , where they are re –imagined and blended with a sprinkling of fine original songs to create an exciting and highly entertaining show that’s guaranteed to get everyone in a swinging party mood.
