Indie-folk artist Melanie Baker, hailing from the Lake District, isn’t afraid to wear her heart on her sleeve. Her direct and honest lyricism capture themes such as falling in and out of love, self-reflection and the anxieties of modern life.

Her captivating live set has been refined over years of performing and since playing her first solo gigs as a teenager, she has gone onto support the likes of dodie, Tessa Violet, Maisie Peters and Will Varley.

Her two self-released EPs “Dreamer” (2018) and “Broken” (2020) have organically amassed over a million streams on Spotify alone and received radio play from BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 1.

Reflecting on her songwriting process, Melanie says “I write about what I know and how I feel, if other people can relate to that then sharing those songs feels like an integral part of the process.” At just 22 years old, Melanie’s fearless vulnerability allows her music to cut to the chase of raw and relatable human experiences.
