Work with a music producer to write and record your own track or song, exploring beat making, synth programming and lyric writing to create an original piece of electronic music.
What will the session cover and how will it be taught?
We will interactively explore beat making, synth sounds and recording
techniques in Ableton to make a track together.
Who is it suitable for?
Beginners welcome, but if you have experience with making music then bring
your ideas along.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself, some lunch and something to make notes on. Refreshments will be provided.

About the session leader
Tiiva is an artist and producer who has been releasing a series of singles and remixes, as well as producing for other artists and composing for video and short film. They teach music production and remix techniques, alongside instrumental and songwriting lessons and are actively involved in musical collaborations and workshops with artists and young people worldwide.
Tiiva has written for organisations including Tate Modern, Matches Fashion, Vice, and Kentina (NY Fashion week), Samsung and has been featured in Clash magazine, Dummy, Them Magazine, and Fresh Finds (Spotify). They have worked with the charity organisation YWMP Oxford, 2% Rising, and are currently writing for a series of music publishers and libraries alongside this.
