Songs of Farewell, Songs of Love.
Celebrating the music of Parry and Brahms with Levens choir. 2018 is the centenary of Parry’s death, so a good time to reflect on these late pieces.
There will be cello interludes played by Vivienne Young accompanied by David Battersby. David will be joined by Fenella Haworth – Smith to accompany Brahms’s “Liebeslieder Waltzes”.
It will be a fitting tribute to the music of one of England’s finest composers.
