You don’t need an expensive camera to produce some beautiful images of your holiday in the Lakes. Whether it is with your smartphone or top of the range SLR, join photographer Eric Pye to explore the local area and learn some tricks of the trade to improve your photography and create images you can be proud of.
The workshop fee even includes a mounted print of one of your own photos.

What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
Starting in the beautiful setting of the Langdale Estates you will meet Eric and the group and cover some basic photography rules and tips before heading out to explore the local area for the morning.
All workshops are suitable for anyone (16 years plus) and are open to guests of Langdale Leisure and non-residents. You don’t need any prior knowledge or be an expert artist to take part and all materials are provided. There are a limited number of places on each workshop so pre-booking in advance is essential.
What do I need to bring with me?
Dress for the weather, wear suitable footwear and bring any type of camera, from a smartphone, to a digital compact or SLR camera. Please bring a pen, notebook and your glasses, if you need them.
Are there any additional costs?
None – fee includes a mounted print of one of your photos that can be posted or collected from the Brewery Art Centre.
About the tutor
Eric is a photographer who likes to combine his love of the outdoors with a desire to produce something creative. He likes to try and convey something about the places in his images and does this with traditional landscape shots as well as more abstract ideas using camera movement and multiple exposures. As well as creating his own images, Eric now puts his years as a school teacher to good use teaching photography to groups, individuals and here at the Brewery.
