The cosmos is calling: Follow a path of sounds whilst your eyes become accustomed to the dark and quiet of the night. Join us on this unique intimate journey through the nightscape.
Listen to the sounds emanating from outside earth’s atmosphere, listen to the universe at night, the sounds from stars and pulsars amplified and explained, by eminent sound artists Dr Shirley Pegna.
The meeting place is Lake District National Park – Car Park – Scouts Scar, La8 8HA – grid ref 487924
You will gather in the car park stewards will direct you to the starting point. Where you will meet the Artists and the journey will begin.
Bring a torch to help guide you on the pathway.
At the start of the walk, the improved pathway rises steeply, a 1:6 gradient for 100 metres. There are two resting places on this stretch. From that point, it will be flat.
