1pm – 2pm | Tickets £5 | Online via Zoom
Join us for ‘Painting The Poets’, the opening event of this extraordinary exhibition with artist Clae Eastgate. Painting the Poets is a collection of painted portraits that document the growing cohort of women making their voices heard through writing and performing poetry. The vibrant portraits reflect the rich diversity of the UK’s poets; the art of portraiture and the poetry of these powerful voices merging together. Spot some of our wonderful readers amongst the portraits!
Clae Eastgate will be in conversation with one of her subjects, TS Eliot Prize winner Joelle Taylor, to discuss the exhibition, and how poetry and art can document and spur transformation. There will be time for questions from the audience and of course, time to view the portraits.
