Carola Luther was a popular Poet-in-Residence at Wordsworth Grasmere, and she makes a welcome return to Cumbria to read from her stunning third collection On the Way to Jerusalem Farm (Carcanet, 2021). Nafeesa Hamiddebut collection Besharam (Verve, 2018)  is an extraordinary and evocative book that explores our preconceptions of girlhood and motherhood – ‘a necessary and potent meditation on the meaning of Womanhood’ (Joelle Taylor).
