Kiki's Delivery Service “Majo no takkyûbin” (original title)
Cert: U   103 min
Director: Hayao Miyazak

One of Studio Ghibli’s most popular animations. A young witch on her mandatory year of independent life finds fitting into a new community difficult while she supports herself by running an air courier service – 25 years before Amazon drones! This screening will be introduced by Studio Ghibli young enthusiast/expert Katie Kessler. In her own words, “This film really draws you in with its simple realism and dash of supernatural. The coming-of-age that’s so common in Miyazaki’s work is most prominent in this film I think. And it’s really sweet.”
