JOHN O’FARRELL

BREWERY FUNDRAISER

John O’Farrell first rose to fame with his first book Things Can Only Get Better, which recounted the bitter years of defeat for the left during the Thatcher and Major years.

Since then he has stood for Parliament twice, leading Labour to ignominious defeat, most recently in the Eastleigh by-election when he even managed to become a hate figure for the right-wing press. ‘Is Ed’s pal the sickest man in politics?’ screamed the Daily Mail.  John reckons he’s actually about second or third.

An hilarious account of political adventuring by one of Britain’s most popular comic authors and broadsheet columnists.
