Tutor Catherine Bond | Fee £126/£76 | 10 weeks/6 weeks

If you have completed a first year in Adult education or have an elementary knowledge of Italian, which you would like to build upon, this is the course for you.

What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
You will widen the range of everyday situations in which you wish to get by, review those with which you are familiar and continue to improve your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. The emphasis will be on communication, so please be prepared to have a go!
If you wish to enrol as a new student, please ask to be put in touch with the tutor to ensure this is the right level for you.

We will add to the work done on grammar and sentence structure in year one, looking in more detail at verbs, bringing a wider range of conjugations in the present tense and working towards confidence in using the passato prossimo. There will be further work on plural v. singular and gender agreement, as well as practice of prepositions. All will be presented and practised in useful everyday situations. The emphasis will be on developing speaking and listening skills via a variety of exercises and activities in a relaxed atmosphere. There will be lots of pair and group work, and the approach will be light-hearted!

By the end of the course/workshop you will:

  • Have built upon the number of everyday situations in which you can get by
  • Have a deeper understanding of key elements of Italian grammar and sentence structure, giving you the confidence to express yourself a little more freely.

What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a pen, notebook and your glasses, if you need them.

Are there any additional costs?
You will be asked to purchase a moderately priced course book.
