HERE COME THE FROGS!

Festivals |
18th October 2014

10.15-11.15 Venue: BAC 2

With typical arrogance and considerable aplomb, two brilliant young French creators, Wilfrid Lupano and Jeremie Moreau, take the legend of The Hartlepool Monkey and create a highly-original, humorous and brilliantly-crafted satire on this parable for all ages.  Based on a true story, where a monkey is hanged suspected of being a French spy by the people of Hartlepool, this book was winner of the literary prize at the biggest history event in France in Blois in 2013. Lupano, a master story-teller, found his perfect match in Moreau, winner of the young talent award at the Angouleme Festival in 2011. Meet them both on a special visit to the UK and listen and watch as they tell you “pour quoi” and more under the expert interpretation of acclaimed, fast-fiction writer David Gaffney.

If you enjoy the French culture and are ready for a laugh this event is for you!
