GROWING PAINS – TOM GILL

24th March 2017

Fri 24 March | Doors 7.45pm | £10

“If you plant a seed, and treat it like the dirt it’s surrounded by, it’ll grow ugly, like me…”

Carrying the weight of the world in his J.D sports bag, a working class lad trades his bag-head mates for a one-way ticket out of Salford… Following its sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival 2016, critically acclaimed Growing Pains returns to tour the UK. Combining quick-witted spoken word with original songs, Gill’s explosive drama takes us on a poetic journey against the backdrop of Ladbrokes, broke lads and shit dads.

Supported by popular local act, Rowland Crowland.

Commissioned by Battersea Arts Centre. Supported by Arts Council England.
