Fri 15 Jan to Fri 12 Feb 2021 | 10.30am-12.30pm | Tutor Florence Tourne | £64 (5 weeks)
This course will help you to use your French freely and creatively to discuss relevant topics as well as help consolidate your grammar.
What will the course cover and how will it be taught?
This course is for those who have already completed 5 years’ study, have a rusty O- level/GCSE or some experience of the language.
During the course you will learn to:
- use your French freely and creatively in an organised discussion, a game or a role play
- analyse and discuss a variety of written material ranging from literary extracts to advertisements
- listen and discuss French Radio/TV programs or songs
- consolidate your knowledge of grammar through enjoyable exercises
- give a short presentation on a topic decided in class
The course will be delivered online using Zoom, a virtual teaching tool used widely since the pandemic. This new approach can firstly be daunting but becomes quickly the new way to practice your French with other students. It allows some new creative teaching methods which are as innovative as interesting.
If you wish to enrol on this course for the first time in January and are unsure about the level of the course or have any questions, please contact the Brewery to be put in touch with the tutor who will be able to guide you.
A zoom link will be sent to you prior to the course commencing.
What do I need to bring with me?
A French dictionary would be useful.
Are there any additional costs?
