Do you like sewing your own clothes but find that the dressmaking patterns you buy don’t fit you as well as you would like? Over two evenings this short course will show you how to adapt your bought paper patterns to fit your measurements. You will also discover more about making a new pattern from an old favourite garment.

By the end of the session you will:

Be able to adapt your bought paper patterns to fit your measurements.

Be able to understand better how to make a new pattern from an old favourite garment.

What do I need to bring with me? Any additional costs?

Please bring :

  • your own paper pattern(s) that you would like to amend to fit your measurements,
  • A favourite garment that you would like to take a pattern from
  • 30cm ruler, pencil, tape measure.

All other resources are provided.

Access and facilities: 

Most of the Brewery is accessible for those who consider themselves to have a disability. There is a lift to all floors within the main building and adapted toilets.
