Endormore Sharing

Dance |
2nd December 2022

Starts 7pm | Pay What You Decide | Studio 1

Join local dance artist, Orla Collier, for Endormore Sharing; a work-in-progress sharing of Endormore. This solo dance-theatre piece takes the audience on an intimate journey through Orla’s experience of growing up in a small village in the Lake District. Music composed by local independent musician, Molagon.

Endormore Sharing will be followed by a discussion about the work where Orla will gain audience feedback to help steer the continuation of the project.

Endormore was initially micro-commissioned by Great Place Lakes and Dales and was performed at Brewery Arts and 42 Degrees Festival over the summer. Jack Harper produced a film of the work, which was showcased in the Nurturing Creativity X Folded Zine exhibition at Brewery Arts. Orla is now developing the piece into a full-length work, with support from The Dukes, Brewery Arts, and Theatre by The Lake. The completed work will premiere at The Dukes in April 2023.

As an arts and education charity, Brewery Arts relies on customer support to continue learning and engagement activities. Tickets to this event are Pay What You Decide with a request to donate to Brewery Arts. Donate here.

Please note: This performance explores emotions about growing up in a rural area, and therefore will include scenes of strong emotional expression which some may find distressing. There will be scenes of partial undressing (but no nudity) and please also be aware that there will be loud music with variation in pitch that may be unsettling for those with sensory sensitives. Parental guidance is advised.’
